Three Principles Living

State of Mind

Common Sense or Fear? Our choice.

Every time we get new information, we have a choice what to make of it. That choice has nothing to do with the information. It has to do with whether we understand how we bring our own thinking to life as reality. We don't choose the first thought that comes to mind. But every subsequent related thought and what we make of it is strictly up to us. The more deeply we understand our own spiritual nature, that we are generating our life experience by bringing thoughts to mind and then taking them more...

Just being happy

http://youtu.be/Kv4XUaFERds I'll bet you can't watch a few seconds of the above video without breaking into a smile, and if you keep watching, I'll bet you start to laugh, too. Laughter is contagious. People who are laughing together aren't thinking about their differences, but joining each other in the common human experience of just enjoying the moment. Laughter is an expression of happiness, a beautiful ordinary feeling that arises within us readily when we aren't focused on thinking that keeps it at bay. It didn't take much research to find out there...

Smarter? or Wiser?

I've been involved in many situations where leaders were smarter than most of the people they were trying to influence, but were oblivious to the fact they were no wiser. Wisdom is not an opinion

How soon we abandon the lessons of fairy tales, scripture, children's books! How readily we disregard the common sense of life experience! How innocently we fall into the maelstrom of insecurity, then panic as we start to drown in our own fear! As quickly as we fall, however, we can arise from the nightmare and find the innate resiliency we need to restore balance, wisdom and hope. This is the promise of a true understanding of how our minds work: we live in the experience of the reality we create with...

What’s the big deal?

Whenever I have a chance to browse through the NASA photographs from the Hubble Space Telescope, I am humbled and amazed at the enormity of creation.  How astonishing that we, tiny specks of being on a tiny fragment in a tiny solar system of this roiling infinitude of energy taking form and dissolving back to formlessness, are a part of it all. We are participants in the whole of creation, the whole infinite universe of creation. And what we create actually matters, at least to that little pinprick of the...

Wisely using our power to…

In every waking moment of every day, every one of us is using our incredible power of thought to heal -- or not. That sounds black and white, considering the infinitude of thoughts that come to mind. But, when you step back and look, moment-to-moment, life is black and white. We are either moving in the direction of  calmer, wiser,  more insightful thinking, or moving in the direction of anxious, habitual, less functional thinking. Our guidance system is not the content of our thoughts, but the feeling state we are...
